Privacy Policy

Your data is yours. This page explains what Game Bell collects, why, and the controls you have.

Before you publish: This template is written to describe Game Bell accurately, but it is not legal advice. Review it with a professional and replace every TODO with your real details to meet App Store and local requirements (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).

Overview

Game Bell ("we", "us", or "the app") is a reminder app for gamers. We built it to be private by default: your reminders live on your device, we show no ads, and we do not sell your personal information. This policy describes the data the app may process and the choices available to you.

What we collect

Game Bell is designed to collect as little as possible. Depending on the features you use, this may include:

  • Reminder content you create — game names, event types, times, repeat rules, notes and chosen alarm sounds.
  • Account details — only if you choose to sign in for cloud sync (see Authentication).
  • Device & app settings — such as your theme preference and notification permissions, stored to make the app work the way you left it.
  • Diagnostics — optional, aggregated app-health data if analytics is enabled (see Analytics).

Notifications

Game Bell's core purpose is to notify you about game events. When you allow notifications, the app schedules local notifications on your device for the reminders you set. These are generated and delivered by iOS on your device.

  • You control notification permission at any time in the iOS Settings → Notifications → Game Bell screen.
  • Reminder times and content used to build notifications are stored as described in Data Storage.
  • We do not use notifications to deliver advertising.

Authentication

Signing in is optional and only needed for cloud sync. If you create or use an account, we process the identifiers required to authenticate you.

  • TODO: Describe your sign-in method — e.g. Sign in with Apple, email/password, or another provider.
  • We use these credentials solely to identify your account and sync your reminders. We never post on your behalf.
  • If you use Sign in with Apple, you can choose to hide your email; we honour that choice.

Cloud Sync

Cloud sync keeps your reminders consistent across your devices. It is optional — the app is fully functional offline without an account.

  • When enabled, your reminder data is transmitted securely and stored with our sync provider so it can be delivered to your other signed-in devices.
  • TODO: Name your cloud/sync provider — e.g. Apple iCloud/CloudKit, Firebase, or your own backend — and link their privacy terms.
  • Data in transit is protected with industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS).
  • Turning off sync or signing out stops further syncing; see Retention & Deletion to remove synced data.

Data Storage

By default, your reminders and settings are stored locally on your device. If cloud sync is enabled, a copy is also stored with our sync provider.

  • On device: reminder data is saved in the app's local storage and remains available offline.
  • In the cloud (optional): stored only while sync is enabled and you are signed in.
  • TODO: State data storage region/provider if required by your jurisdiction.

Analytics

Analytics placeholder. If Game Bell does not use analytics, state that plainly here. If it does, complete the details below and disclose it in your App Store privacy nutrition label.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers required to run features you enable (for example, the cloud sync provider) and only to the extent needed to provide those features, or where required by law.

Retention & Deletion

  • Delete locally: removing a reminder deletes it from your device. Deleting the app removes its local data.
  • Delete synced data: TODO: Describe how users request account/data deletion — e.g. an in-app option or an email request to your support address.
  • We retain account data only as long as your account is active or as required to comply with legal obligations.

Children's Privacy

Game Bell is not directed to children under the age required by your jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. TODO: Set the applicable minimum age and adjust to comply with local law (e.g. COPPA, GDPR-K).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of Game Bell after an update means you accept the revised policy.
